Our Story

The Studio
Founded by an American-French duo, Loom & Field is a textiles and homewares brand collaborating with artisans to create ethically sourced small batch collections. We travel the world to gather inspiration and establish relationships with artisan partners, with the aim of creating beautiful, handcrafted goods that bring joy to your home. An important part of our mission is to celebrate traditional craftsmanship and entrepreneurship. 10% of our proceeds are invested directly into the artisan communities we work with in Morocco, to empower women weavers with literacy education and encourage self-sufficiency.

A life-long musician, composer, and engineer, Pierre was born with the desire to see the world, preferably from the seat of a bicycle. After working as an IT consultant, he left the corporate world for his first cycling trip in 2012, from the Eiffel Tower to the beaches of Australia. He continues to satisfy his travel bug with yearly cycling adventures and sourcing trips. Pierre loves nothing more than traveling to remote villages to meet and collaborate with local artisans on our products.

Photographer, designer, and Parsons School of Design alum, Christine is the creative force behind Loom & Field. She first discovered her love for textiles and patterns while working as a graphic designer in Paris and traveling as much as possible (luckily, France has its fair share of vacation days). Between Morocco, France, Turkey, and the U.S., she loves sifting through thousands of rugs to find that one perfect piece, and the excitement of imagining them in their future homes.
